Our Favorite Finds!

(That are actually worth it!)

Having a child with special needs can be expensive! There are so many recommended toys, tools, resources out there because there is no one size fits all. Each child’s needs are different. I have both a sensory seeker and sensory avoidant children so figured I would share some of our favorite items that were worth it. As a family that lives paycheck to paycheck, I would rather buy something and have it be worth the price tag than blindly buying item after item.

-First up and an absolute favorite of both kids, is the sensory swing. There are lots of options out there but this one has been our favorite by far! :https://amzn.to/4ijTLTv

-A close second in our favorites list is the body sock! A great way for them to feel cozy and enclosed. Both of my kids melt into it when they put it on. https://amzn.to/3DCK6sf

-Also in the picture below is featured the third favorite. Headphones!!! We don’t need them all the time but they area definitely in our essential top 3! :https://amzn.to/3DoXLDk

-Now the link I provide for this is not the exact one we have. Ours was from Sam’s and we paid too much for it. I found an alternative that is cheaper and very similar with good reviews! This has been a fun thing to have around the house as a couch, a fort, a lounge space, whatever they want it to be! https://amzn.to/4iIwZEG

My daughter being a sensory seeker, loves to “jump and crash”. These two items have been life savers when she is needing to burn energy and wanting that crashing input. The Crash Pad https://amzn.to/43DfL7q and a trampoline https://amzn.to/4ii11PS. When purchasing the trampoline, make sure you check weight limits depending on the size of the child. The crash pad listed is the specific one we own and love it. I have also placed the crash pad in front of a bed and let them jump and crash that way… depending how feral you allow your kids to be.

That is all for now! There are so many more things I could share and I will in the future. Be on the look out for more recommendations!
